A good wife...

When talking with friends, I often refer to myself as "a good wife." I can give you 100 reasons why, but the most important is that I am a good wife because I have a good husband.

Dan scheduled and paid for me to have a massage on Friday (he even gave me a little extra cash so I went out to lunch with friends on him. Added bonus.) The massage was wonderful, so relaxing I didn't even think/worry about how happy or unhappy Baby Jack was without me. Luckily he wasn't so unhappy!

How could he be when he spent the afternoon with his Auntie Miriam and cousin Sadie???

Auntie Miriam and Sadie came to town on Wednesday, and are staying for a whole week. We were looking forward to their visit. Sadie is just 2 months younger than Jack but they are almost the same size- Jack's just a little thicker in the mid-section. Matching thighs though. :)

Grandma Diane came to visit last weekend and we just enjoyed relaxing and spending time at home. It was great! After a long, busy week, it was nice to relax today as a family.

Go Pack Go!

Not to forget Jack's first Packer Game! What a great Daddy & Son activity!

Oh what do we do...

when Grandma Cindy is away?

House Projects with Papa Russ.
It all began when Dan and I were out of town, and the "Yard Fairies" paid our house a visit. A little lawn mowing, weeding, trimming, and new woodchips really does wonders for a yard that we just haven't kept up on.

But while Grandma Cindy was visiting Jack's newest cousin, Cade Holladay, Papa Russ helped us with LOTS of house projects. I have new shelves in the back closet for a pantry. Our basement is all cleaned out of garbage and boxes, and our bathroom walls are finished! Not to mention the wee morning visits to SPRAY our roof for bees. Yellow Jackets to be exact, and boy do we have a problem. 6+ cans of bee spray and It is just staring to look better. And, in my spare time, I scrubbed our shower and mopped the kitchen floor. I'm feeling good, ready for another week. :)

A little vacation...

Dan and I went on vacation, of course Baby Jack too. Apparently we plan trips that are in completely opposite directions, about as far apart as we can possibly be from each other.

Dan went to Oregon to visit a college friend, to play frisbee, and play more frisbee.

Jack and I went to Washington DC to visit my sister Melissa and her husband Aaron. That is where we were when we came across Mr. Albert Einstein. (I forgot to mention a nice guy offered to take our picture, he was old with crazy hair and in old fashioned overalls and shirt- I think he was a wanna-be, or a really big FAN!)

We really enjoyed all of the great things we got to see, the yummy Mexican food, and of course the R&R we definately needed.
Thank you Auntie Melissa for taking time off of work to play!

We did fly out at the same time, so Dan came with us all the way to the terminal. My hands were full between Jack, the carseat, the stroller and my bag of Jack's toys. I was grateful for his help (and his company!)

I don't think he enjoyed the flight...

Melissa borrowed a pack n' play, and an exersaucer from a friend. Jack loved it!

It was 90 degrees and HUMID! We saw a speedy tour of the Memorial Buildings.

The World War 2 Memorial.

The Great Falls

A happy baby!
Swimming at the pool.

Out to dinner (Jack did not love the loud restaurant, but the food was delicious!)

The Washington DC Temple

It was a great trip! We are back home, taking the week day by day.
Jack is not sleeping great- it may be because one of his bottom teeth is poking through, it is almost out. We cannot wait, it is very exciting!
