Crabbios...

So when kids are crabby at school, we ask them if they had an extra helping of "Crabbios" for breakfast.

Well, at 4:30 when I was up for the 2nd time in one night (where 1 week ago we were SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT!!!) all I could think was "oh, I so am having my second helping of crabbios."

The weird things that come to your mind in the middle of the night.

I may have been crabby, but baby Jack was happy as could be ALL DAY LONG!!! Life is so unfair!

Special Treatment...

We all have colds. Dan still had to work today, but Jack and I went back to bed.

9:00 AM- I was awake but baby Jack slept on and on. The question is, who got the special treatment? Mom who slept in, or baby who slept in mom & dad's bed (only after Dan left.)

Jack & Mom Quality Time...

One of the best things about my job is that Jack comes to school with me. I get to bring him to my classroom on my lunch break to feed him and play with him.

On Fridays my kids get an extra long gym class so we get an extra long play time. My friend took this picture with her new digital camera. She's a pro!

2 weeks in...

We have been home for 2 weeks, back to real life- work, piano lessons, church, etc. Overall, things are going well.

After my first week of work, Jack and I met Dan up in Steven's Point for a frisbee tournament. It was GREAT! It was awfully sunny and a little windy, so baby Jack didn't quite know how to handle it. Obviously, he figured it out by day 2 and enjoyed the fresh air.

It was my first Mother's Day! The baby room at work made magnets with our child's picture on it- I got an "I love Mommy" magnet/frame with a very cute picture they took. I didn't expect anything, so it was a fun surprise.

Happy Mother's Day to all of the Mother's out there!!!
I have found one of the greatest things about having a baby is dressing him (and if I can match- why not???) Last week Jack and I matched for Cinco de Mayo, I wore brown to match his puppy dog outfit and on Mother's Day, I wore brown & off-white to match Baby Jack's cute outfit from Auntie Melissa. No one really noticed, but I liked it.

No matter how busy we get, we always make time for play time... I wouldn't trade this time for the world! (I think he may be camera shy...)

Well,
most everything is going well... I really miss visiting my friends and family during the week. I have been trying to stick to work & piano lessons, and save my free time to be as a family (and somewhere I find time to rest.) Sometimes I feel like I barely have time to chat on the phone. So- to all of the friends that I never get around to calling or visiting, I am sorry and "HELLO!" I am still here!

Manda is married...

So... 5 down, 1 to go. Manda got married this last week in Utah. We were very very busy- a whole lot going on!

We finally got a family picture- not great but we're a family. I made Jack's tie so he could match the wedding party. I liked it. :)

Manda looked beautiful- these are just a couple odds and end pictures I took.

Jack on the way to the luncheon. It was a long day but he did great!
I saw my friend Susan and her baby- he is 3 weeks older than Jack.
The last day... Jack and his 2 cousins.

Monday back from vacation, I went back to work. Jack comes with me- this a picture of his first day! Check out his double chin and his oversized belly! (Jack did so good in the infant room- he loves my friend who takes care of him and he naps for her! I am very happy and feel good that he is in such good care!)

And to top of the busy- very exciting week... My sister Miriam had her baby on Tuesday, April 28. She posted her "last pregnant picture" on her blog- but this is truly one of the last to remember her little belly by. :) We are so excited about Jack's newest cousin Sadie Lynn!
